Born in South Korea and raised in Sweden, Marie Grasmeier came to the United States to pursue her education. Her personal experience uniquely qualifies her to provide international tax services and real estate investment services for international investors, two of her niche business services. “I’ve gone through the visa process and the immigration lines,” Grasmeier shares. “A lot of my clients are from overseas. They want to eventually come here to the U.S. and invest. I’m aware of the international issues that go with investing overseas. So, I think I understand my clients a little bit better than somebody who doesn’t have that background.”
Grasmeier is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP). In addition to providing tax planning and compliance services and traditional accounting services, Grasmeier applies her accounting background to real estate investment services by specializing in the tax benefits and tax ramifications of real estate investing. Following her own advice, Grasmeier has been actively investing in real estate for almost two decades. She sees real estate investing as an opportunity for individuals, particularly women and immigrants, to establish a positive cash flow and to improve their financial livelihood.
Grasmeier’s passion for empowering women in real estate investing led her to become a contributing author to the book Wealth for Women: Conversations with the Team That Creates the Dream, a collaboration by 18 women experienced in all facets of real estate investing. Off the clock, Marie Enjoys running marathons, traveling, and spending time with her daughter and her husband.
